Frank Gant (drums)

Probably recorded in Chicago, 1958
Originally released as Argo album 629, 1958

... For this album, he had a fine rhythm trio although their exact identity is unknown. Some discographies have listed pianist Barry Harris, bassist William Austin and drummer Frank Gant, but Harris (10 years later)denied any knowledge of this date. In any case, the bassist and drummer are perfectly supportive, and the pianist's accompaniment and solos fit both the time period and the setting.
